OVERVIEW

COVID-ARC is a data archive that stores multimodal (i.e., demographic information, clinical outcome reports, imaging scans) and longitudinal data related to COVID-19 and provides various statistical and analytic tools for researchers. The National Science Foundation funded project is based in the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine's Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute (INI) Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI).

COVID-ARC helps address the immediate need to understand the spread and impact of COVID-19 with a platform of networked and centralized archives that store, curate, visualize, and disseminate multimodal data related to the disease. The platform includes patients’ demographics, clinical evaluations, vitals, EKGs, and imaging data, such as CT, X-Ray, PET, ultrasound and MRI.

COVID-ARC data, together with a variety of analytic tools, are shared broadly with the world-wide scientific community. This will help maximize the potential for research progress by uniting scientists from diverse fields, including medicine, public health, and artificial intelligence.

Bravo Biotechnology Pathway (Engineering for Health Academy) students have interned during their senior year for the past two years in the lab, and currently a Bravo Biotech/EHA alumnus is part of the COVID-ARC Project.

INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION WEBINARS

During the course of 2020-21, 9th-12th grade healthcare industry career pathway students at Bravo and LAUSD students have participated in informational and interactive live webinars with the COVID-ARC team, learning about their backgrounds, current research and findings, processes and procedures.
