1.    The USC Physician Assistant Pipeline Program introduces students to a wide range of health professions while attending workshops and practicing clinical skills.  This month’s program will introduce the profession of “Pharmacy.”  It will take place in Alhambra on Saturday, January 25th, from 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.  If interested, then RSVP on their website to reserve your seat.  The program Is limited to 60 students per session.  Once the session has reached its capacity, the RSVP link will be closed.  Please come to the Magnet Office for more information and to pick up an informational flyer.  The following are the future dates and list of topics that will be introduced in the coming months:
February 29th- Dentistry/Dental Assistant/Hygienist
March 28th-     Nursing/NP/RN/CAN/LVN/CNM
April 25th-       Occupational Therapy/OT Assistant
May 16th-        EMT/Paramedics/Firefighters

2.    Attention Seniors:  As you begin to be notified of your acceptances from the different colleges that you applied to, please drop off a copy of your acceptance letter in the College Center so that we can congratulate you on your achievement.          (Mr. Maletz  1/16-1/17)

PSAT Results and Khan Academy Access:

Class of 2023:  Sign in to get your PSAT9 scores.


Class of 2021 & Class or 2022: PSAT/NMSQT Scores


Once you check your PSAT9 / PSAT scores, you have access to free SAT personalized practice through Khan Academy. According to Khan Academy, if you do 20 hours of practice, you will improve your score by 100 points. Here are the directions: 


1. Go to

3. Choose your LAUSD email account (this is how the practice is free)

4. When prompted, agree to link your Khan Academy and existing College Board accounts.

5. Send Your Scores: Log in to your College Board account, and hit “Send” to get a personalized practice plan.
