Bravo News and Announcements

12/3/19

1.    Attention Students and Teachers,
The last day for After School Tutoring this semester is Thursday, December 5th.  We only have 3 weeks of school left.  Next week, the week of December 9th is No Activities week.  No After School activities will take place so that students and teachers can focus on Final Exams.  The week of December 16th is Final Exams week.  There is a special schedule for final Exams.  Teachers please post the schedule for Final Week on the board   (Mrs. Williams-Wakasa, 12/2-12-16)

2.    Come support the Boys Basketball team at all their home games.  Snacks and drinks will be for sale at all home games.  All home games are free. (Mr. Cadena, 11/18-2/7)

3.    Good Morning Student to Student Members,
The Student-to Student meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, December 4th has been cancelled.  There will be NO Student-to-Student Meeting on Wednesday, December 4th.  The next Student-to-Student meeting will be Wednesday, January 15th, 2020.    (Mrs. Williams-Wakasa, 12/2)

4.    This is the last week of the School Experience Survey.  Friday, December 6th, is the last day to take the survey online.  Bravo HS uses the data from the responses as part of our school plant to see if we are meeting our student’s academic, social emotional and attendance goals.  As of Friday, November 22nd, only 36% of students have completed the school survey.  Teachers, please take this moment to have the students log on to Schoology and click on the link I sent for the School Survey.  Thank You.   (Mrs. Williams Wakasa, 12/2-12-6)

5.    Attention Bravo Knights.  The National Honors society (NHS) is coordinating a Children’s Hospital Toy Drive from Monday, December 2 through December 9.  There will be boxes in certain teacher’s class room for each grade level that is stated on the flyers around the school.  Please help donate old clothes, toys, or even board games to the children at the Children’s Hospital as a Christmas gift to them all.   (Mr. La, 11/22-12/9)

6.    Track tryouts will be Wednesday and Thursday this week after school.  You must have a physical cleared by the nurse and an Emergency Card to tryout.  Come join the fun!     (Mr. Russell, 12/2-12/5)

7.    Help Bravo grow its garden by donating to our garden drive.  We are in need of gardening gloves, scissors, rakes, watering cans, hoses, buckets, shovels, aprons, organic mulch, soil, and much more.  We do not need fertilizers or pesticides.  Any spare equipment in great condition should be given to room 316 from December 2nd to December 6th in the morning from 7:30 to 7:50 am and afterschool from 3:15 to 4:00 pm.  Throughout this week Environmental Studies’ fourth period can pick up the donations by calling room 316.  Those who contributed by donating will be entered into a raffle for free succulent plants and a lucky winner will receive a 50-dollar gift card.  Now is your chance to contribute and help our school garden thrive  (Ms. Pineda, 11/15-12/6)
